Hypnotherapy in Barcelona
Hello, my name is Catherine Biggart. I’m a cognitive behavioural hypnotherapist and trainee hypno-psychotherapist based in Barcelona. I offer online English-language therapy sessions to clients in Spain and across Europe. I believe that therapy can be a powerful and transformative experience. Life can be hard and we all struggle from time to time - therapy is a safe and supportive place to work through those struggles, gain insight into your unique experiences, and learn new ways of being with yourself and the world around you.
For me, the therapeutic relationship is fundamental to the process of therapy and this is why it’s so important to find a therapist who feels right for you. When we feel seen and accepted, suddenly space opens up for change and new possibilities.
How Hypnotherapy Can Help
As a hypnotherapist, I use a range of evidence-based techniques to help support you in your journey. We’ll begin by discussing what’s brought you to therapy and what you’d like to achieve out of our work together. From there, we may start with some guided relaxation in hypnosis to help calm the nervous system because when we feel safe and calm, we’re better able to access our innate creativity and inner resources. This will allow you to connect more deeply with yourself and with the world around you. We may use CBT to explore the relationship between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours to help you identify any unhelpful patterns keeping you stuck and look for new, more adaptive and helpful ways of responding to life’s challenges. Every session is different and tailored to the individual client and might include hypnosis, guided relaxation, mindfulness, CBT, talk therapy or a combination.

I do offer a limited number of low-cost sessions each week. This is because I believe therapy should be accessible to everyone. If you are interested in therapy but concerned about price, send me an email to discuss how this works.

Everyone is different and the number of sessions will depend on what you are hoping to achieve. Hypnotherapy is a short, solution-focused style of therapy and clients will normally do between 4-12 sessions.
About me
My name is Catherine. I’m a hypnotherapist and teacher from New York City. In 2022 I moved to Barcelona from London with my two cats. I have a diploma in cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy from the UK College of Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy and am continuing my training to become a hypno-psychotherapist through the National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy in the UK. I’ve done additional course work in smoking cessation, low self-esteem, and grief and loss. I love the work that I do and I feel honoured to be able to share this journey with my clients, wherever it takes us.
